Read the defense, find the open receiver, and throw the ball where only he can catch it!

My son Tanner Dickeson played slot back and receiver on Gene’s youth football team for three years and attended his Lewiston Air It Out Football Academy. He helped Tanner develop a passion for the game and the fundamental skills necessary to succeed. As Tanner transitioned to junior high school football last year he informed me he wanted to play quarterback. Knowing the responsibilities and pressures of being the quarterback, I questioned his decision and tried to talk him into continuing to play slot back or receiver. His response to me was that he knew what those positions were supposed to do, and therefore, he was the most qualified person. His confidence and knowledge of the game was a direct result of Gene. The time, energy, and knowledge that Gene gave to my son will benefit him for his entire life. His ability to teach kids how to compete at their position, be supportive team players, and be gracious when they win or lose are things that every parent should want from their coach.

Sam had a great time at your football camp. He had me up the next morning going through the drills and patterns you taught him. We will highly recommend you to the players in town and in the league. Thanks for helping Sam reach for his dreams.

My son, Cade, had a blast and learned a lot at your football camp. We had not gone 4 blocks from the camp when he said, "Dad - that was awesome! I learned more in 3 hours than I did at a full 3 day football camp." The extra attention they got with being a small group was great and I couldn't be more impressed with your boys and how well they work with the little guys.

My son Courtland really enjoyed your football camp.  He was pushed and worked hard.  He had no problems falling asleep on those two evenings.  Thank you so very much for coming to Selah and giving our players such great instruction.  Hopefully next year we'll have an even bigger turnout.  Thanks again.

Your football camp in Post Falls was great. As youth coaches there is never enough time to coach everything and it is easy to get into a groove of coaching what fits. In most teams the mix is probably 60-40 or 70-30 run versus pass, and this really takes away from the time spent developing QBs and WR's. Spending time at your camp, and watching your staff, made me realize that I need to step up my passing game and develop my QB's and WR's in a different and accelerated manner. Thank you.
